First build the website traffic, Business will follow.

I received an email today which said if you build a steady stream of website traffic, it is easy to monetize. I have to agree with this based on my own personal experience.
I have always wanted to build a residual income on auto pilot using the Internet. Marketing automation just has such of an appeal for me. I played around off and on for a few years. Selling some affiliate products here and there, placing a few ads now and then and I was making a sale or two once in a while.
In January of 2007 I decided that I was going to build a business. I found some cool software which pretty much made the whole process easy for a technically challenged individual like myself. I did the research and picked out a domain name in the billiards niche.
I didn’t have anything to sell but I love the game of pool - billiards and I have studied the fundamentals and know the game pretty well. I started building pages and I named them based on popular keywords. The software made this a cake walk. I put together 7 emails and several web pages where I run a free billiards fundamental training course.
There were times when I did not work on the site for weeks. I would keep getting emails telling me I had a new subscriber. I did some investigating and found that the Billiards site was ranked #1 with Google for several keywords. This inspired me to build more pages and monitor the site a little closer.
The site began to build momentum and some money started to come in. It’s pretty cool when your site has a steady flow of targeted traffic. I can easily test a new product because the site gets between 300 and 400 visitors per day. This site is making some money with Adsense and Live Ebay Auctions for Billiards Supplies. The site and training course offers an ebook which is available through Clickbank. The book is about pool - billiards. These books sell at a pretty steady pace.
It was cool when I did my first test broadcast email. The training course list was about 300 subscribers. I sent an email asking how the training was coming along. I inserted a PS with a couple lines about the book and the link to the click bank order page.
Sold about 10 books in the next 2 days. This is cool because I wasn’t working when the money came in. The email took about 10 minutes. There is not a ton of profit in the book but I can say that I made about $10 per minute for writing that email.
I did not have any products when I started this site. The website traffic built up and now it’s easy to test and build a product line. Learn t build traffic and you will make sales and I know this from personal experience. Now that’s Internet Marketing
To Your Success,
Ted
